Rotersand - Exterminate Annihilate Destroy

Rotersand is a German electronic music act, formed in September 2002 by musician/producer Gun and singer Rascal with dance music producer/DJ Krischan J.E. Wesenberg joining them shortly after.

Rotersand is often labeled as Futurepop. But since futurepop is a label to describe only a tiny circle of electronic music acts of which  VNV Nation,  Covenant  and Assemblage 23 are the most known.
I think it would be better not to use such a restrictive label on such an excellent band.
Moreover, Futurepop is such a 'retro' word.

So, call it Future Pop.  Call it Industrial Pop (referred to by the band itself). I wouldn't even call it Pop.
Maybe you could describe the Rotersand sound as melodic EBM or intelligent IDM.
But still those words don't offer a good description.

Unfortunately I could not find any official Rotersand videos on YouTube.
However I've stumbled upon some fanmade and live videos of the track  "Exterminate Annihilate Destroy" which has become a classic club hit.
Surely you will recognize the Dalek voice sample from the Doctor Who TV series.

With such a recognizable Dalek vocal sample, it was only a matter of time before some crazed Doctor Who fan puts together a Dalek music video. Still pretty good though.

This Doctor Who fan has clearly more love for the Doctor than for those poor Daleks.

This video was obviously made by a Dalek fan, who likes to see those mobile bread toasters exterminate, annihilate and destroy some unfortunate humans.

This video shows one way to dance to this Rotersand track. Ofcourse this is not the compulsary dance style. You may dance to this track any way you want

It's ok if you dance like this, too

But maybe he should take some industrial dancing lessons from this next guy

Apparently this track inspires to more than just dancing

A video put together with images of a Rotersand live performance.
It claims to be an official video.

Crazy Clip TV offers a better 'official' live video of Exterminate Annihilate Destroy.
It sounds also more 'live' than the previous video.

Borghesia releases protest video We Don't Believe You

Getting its start in 1982, Borghesia is an influential electronic rock group created in Ljubljana, Slovenia by members of the alternative theatre group “Theatre FV-112/15”. The band, along with fellow Slovenian music collective Laibach, were not only at the forefront of Slovenian alternative music scene, but also on the cutting edge of the burgeoning underground dark electronic scenes.

Borghesia created its aesthetics using the imagery of what was prohibited, tabooed, and repressed.Their sound is often compared to that of other groups in the period such as D.A.F., Laibach, Manufacture, and Front 242, whom many cite as the chief instigators of the Electronic Body Music label used to describe such music

After a period of dormancy from the mid-nineties to 2009, Borghesia began to once again create music. The result of these efforts is the album And Man Created God (Metropolis Records, 2014).

Hocico releases video Dead Trust

Hocico, electro- punk, harsh & dark electro from Mexico City,  releases the official video clip for the song "Dead Trust". The video was directed by Torvic Martínez and produced by Cuauhtli Vargas. Dead Trust is taken from the album "El Último Minuto (Antes de que tu Mundo Caiga)".

Hocico was officially formed in 1993 by Erk Aicrag (lyrics & vocals) and Racso Agroyam (synthesizer, programming). The names are ananyms of the real names Erik Garcia and Oscar Mayorga. Both cousins had been experimenting with electronic music, mixing Industrial and EBM, since they were fifteen years old and formed a band in 1992 called Hocico de Perro. Their music can be described as dark and aggressive electronica. Their lyrics are mostly English although some songs are in Spanish.
The Spanish word hocico means snout and is a derogatory term that indicates ugliness (i.e., ugly as a dog's snout).

In Strict Confidence releases "Lifelines vol.2 1998-2004"

In Strict Confidence is a German electro-industrial band founded in 1990, steared by musical mastermind Dennis Ostermann . The current members are Dennis Ostermann, Joerg Schelte, Stefan Vesper, HayDee Sparks and Nina de Lianin.
Their musical style incorporates elements from electro-industrial, futurepop, synthpop, darkwave and ambient electro, with voices provided by both male and female vocalists.

Since the 90’s, they have released extensively via a number of reknown industrial record labels such as Zoth Omog, Metropolis and Bloodline Records  and through their own label, Minuswelt Musikfabrik.

Where Lifelines vol. 1 (1991-1998) was a retrospective of the early years in the musical career of the then rather unknown electro band In Strict Confidence. Lifelines vol. 2 (1998-2004) can be described as a true "best of" CD for that era.  The clubhit Zauberschloss launched In Strict Confidence in the upper regions of the German Schwarze Szene, the subculture music scene of goth, dark electro, darkwave, EBM and underground techno which has a larg presence in Germany.

Just like Lifelines Vol.1. , all tracks on Lifelines vol. 2 are released in an extended version, to guarantee that your dancing and freaking out to these excellent tracks will last even longer.

Tracklisting:
01. Zauberschloss (2000) - 7.29
02. Seven Lives (2004) - 7.20
03. Engelsstaub (2002) - 6.22
04. Kiss Your Shadow (2000) - 5.57
05. Hidden Thoughts (1998) - 7.20
06. Babylon (2004) - 6.52
07. Another Night (2004) - 7.29
08. Closing Eyes (2004) - 7.54
09. Herzattacke (2002) - 8.36
10. The Truth Inside Of Me (2000) - 8.36

Hopefully Lifelines vol. 3  will be released soon, because In Strict Confidence gets better with the years, creating such gems as My DespairSilver Bullets and Morpheus. Thill then enjoy the In Strict Confidence club hits of the 1998-2004 era.

Der Klinke - Building castles in the dark

Der Klinke is a new wave band from Belgium. Combining the pure atmosphere of the eighties with more contemporary influences. They describe their music as "Sounds from a deep dark foggy basement club surrounded by slow motion shadows, wavers, goths and dreams of a forgotten world". Or in other words you could say that their sound is a unique variety of dark industrial dance, coldwave and classical post-punk.

Der Klinke started in 2009 as a collaboration between.Back then the band was only Geert Vandekerkhof (Ches), Melissa Vandewalle and Manu Coulier (who did the video's) The band's name was quickly chosen because it all started with the reunion of "De Klinke" in 2009. De Klinke was a garden shed outside Geert Vandekerkhof"s parental house built into a small new wave club.

The new wave club of the eighties De Klinke was revived for a short time. But more importantly it gave birth to the band Der Klinke, adding the "r' to De Klinke.

From the beginning De Klinke chose for video and Youtube  to get their musical message accross. In this way Der Klinke gained popularity, even without an album release.  Clear Mind was the very first Der klinke song. With Castle in the Dark and You they visually explored the more darker sides of homebase and coastal town Oostende.

In 2011 Der Klinke released their first album Square Moon. Melissa Vandewalle had left the project. Heidi Van Tiggelen became more involved in the project (keyboards, visuals) and Der Klinke became a 'real' band.

Tracklist:
 Perfectly Dead
You
 Surrender
Square Moon
3 Am
Radio
The Voice
Where It Ends
Clear Mind
Castle In The Dark
At Night

After the release of "Square Moon" Der klinke started to go live.To make this work Sam Claeys, Chris De Neve, and Marco Varotta joined the band(Bassguitar, drums, guitar). So with the recordings of "The Second Sun " der Klinke aimed at making this album sounding quite different.. improved.  Like Ches once said.. "Square Moon" was the album that I should have released in the eighties, while "The Second Sun" is the one that had to be released in the nineties.. "Our third album will be the one of today.."
Pictures In My Mind
House Of Belief
Chasing Shadows
The Game
Universal Energy
The Second Sun
Las Fàbricas
In Flames
Love In Colours
Last Moments

After the release of "The Second Sun" der Klinke played many of gigs and created a cover of Fad Gadget's "Back to Nature'.

In 2012 it was ten years ago that he past away so suddenly... Inspired by Fad Gadget and other classic new wave anthems like A Forest (the Cure) and Our Darkness (Anne Clark), Der klinke boxed together The Doll EP

Tracklist:
The Doll - Extended Version
Cold Dance
Eternal
The Doll - Instrumental
Where It Ends - 2013 Version
Cold Dance - Instrumental
The Doll - Original Version
Eternal - Instrumental

By the end of 2013 Der Klinke released a second single and video The Facts of Life for their upcoming third album. When listening to the demo they found it sounding quite military so they decided to do something with it in a setting of the first world war.. After all "Flanders Fields"is in their backyard in a manner of speaking..
Der Klinke didn't realise that 2014 was nigh is the year of massive memorials of WW I - The Great War. Marco volunteered to take the role as British soldier of The Great War.

Punk rock-'n-roll icon Frank Dubbe stars in video of local electro band Diskonnekted

Belgian punk and Rock-'n-roll icon Frank Dubbe, lead man of Revenge 88 (a band formerly known as Stagebeast and Moonlight Crow) has been making a name for himself in the Belgian music scene since the late seventies. Any kind of association with electronic dance music is realy the last thing you would expect from this old-school punk and rock-'n-roll musician from Oostende. However, the much appraised amateur photographer Romuald "Ishoothorizon" Swieconek has made a music video for the alternative electro band Diskonnekted featuring the senior citizen of Punkville, Frank Dubbe.
For who doesn't know Frank Dubbe. He's the charismatic man with his inseparable cowboy hat.
