Altrego brings us Miraculous Epiphanies (live)

Young Belgian singer-songwriter Jasper Erkens moved to London  about 4 years ago to study at the prestigious BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology. The BRIT School is an exceptional educational institution where students achieve great things in academic, vocational and artistic studies.

I don't know anything about Jasper Erkens academic curriculum and achievements in that reknown BRIT school.  What I do know that it resulted in him reinventing himself as the artist "Altrego".

He self-produced his, yet to be released first EP, an eclectic mix of electro, rock and funk. The record was mixed by Valgeir Sigurdsson (Feist, Sigur Ros, Magic Numbers) and will be released on june 16th 2014.

Angels Of Light - My True Body (unofficial but remarkable video)

Angels of Light are an American experimental group that was formed circa 1998 by singer/guitarist Michael Gira after he disbanded Swans, the group he had founded in 1982. The band has marked a distinctly different style for Gira since he left Swans, most noticeably being musically more melodic and less brutal than his previous efforts.

King Creosote - For One Night Only (Official Video)

For One Night Only  will be released as the first single from King Creosote's forthcoming album, From Scotland With Love. 

Both single and album will be available on 21st July 2014.

Kenny Anderson, known primarily by his stage name King Creosote,is an independent singer-songwriter from Fife, Scotland. To date, Anderson has released over forty albums.

Anderson is also a member of Scottish-Canadian band The Burns Unit. 

In 2011, Anderson's collaborative album with Jon Hopkins, Diamond Mine, was nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Once again Giorgis Kormikiaris edited a beautiful video. The song As The Last Of the Rose Petals Are Shattered is taken from the album A Martyrium Of White Roses.

Die Weisse Rose is founded in 2001 in Denmark, by Thomas Bøjden.Formed  This musical project was formed as a creative output for documenting various historical events, through what Wagner called “Gesamtkunstwerke” - a total work of art. Combining electronical elements, fieldrecordings and real instruments through an optic that resembles a kaleidoscopical view of history, thus making the music of DIE WEISSE ROSE as indebted to the History Channel and litterature as they are to Throbbing Gristle and Richard Wagner.

More than concerts, Die Weisse Rose’s live performances ( of Thomas Bøjden and the Misantropical Tabernacle Choir)  should been seen and celebrated as elaborate rituals, where element such as uniforms, burning torches, snippets of old schlägers, segments from documentary films and philosophical proclamations are carefully wowen together by orgies of electronic sounds, violins and accordion and drum beating like a military parade gone terribly astray.

Alpine Decline - Personal History (Plaisir de France remix)

French author/DJ/composer/producer Julien Barthe reinvents himself as a "quality sound dresser" under the name of Plaisir de France, remixing a song from an arty LA rock band, called Alpine Decline that moved to Bejing, China. It all sounds a bit weirdn but it seems to work.

STADT - promising Belgian krautpop

Stadt (meaning 'City' in German)  is the story of 4 seasoned, through and through musicians from Belgium. After long trips through various musical settings and stylistic landscapes they have once again found each other with the formation of their new group, Stadt. Through their joint search, which has been at times concrete and others experimental, they have arrived at a kind of "new music". 

Their debutalbum 'Some Kind of Diversion' mixes indie-rock with a small cloud of psychedelia and allows it to swell through the streets. You’ll be taken aback hearing Stadt, because behind that seemingly quiet city square lies a screeching boulevard full of traffic where sounds truly spring loose and burst open.

Borghesia releases protest video We Don't Believe You

Getting its start in 1982, Borghesia is an influential electronic rock group created in Ljubljana, Slovenia by members of the alternative theatre group “Theatre FV-112/15”. The band, along with fellow Slovenian music collective Laibach, were not only at the forefront of Slovenian alternative music scene, but also on the cutting edge of the burgeoning underground dark electronic scenes.

Borghesia created its aesthetics using the imagery of what was prohibited, tabooed, and repressed.Their sound is often compared to that of other groups in the period such as D.A.F., Laibach, Manufacture, and Front 242, whom many cite as the chief instigators of the Electronic Body Music label used to describe such music

 After a period of dormancy from the mid-nineties to 2009, Borghesia began to once again create music. The result of these efforts is the album And Man Created God (Metropolis Records, 2014).

Black Tape for a Blue Girl rereleases Halo Star on Bandcamp, (Name your price)

Black Tape for a Blue Girl is an American Dark Wave band formed in 1986 by Projekt Records' founder Sam Rosenthal. Their music takes on elements of dark cabaret, darkwave, ethereal, ambient and neoclassical music. Director David Lynch, former pornographic actress Sasha Grey and writer Poppy Z. Brite are some of their more well-known fans.

Released in 2004, HALO STAR is a mix of ethereal tracks sung by Elysabeth Grant, and somewhat more accessible tracks featuring vocalist Bret Helm. Included are the fan-pleasers "Knock Three Times," the Pink Floydy "The Gravediggers" and the folk-rock "Your love is sweeter than wine."
