Andreas Gross - heavenly melancholic songs of dreams and desperation

Andreas Gross is a little known musical collective around  artist Andreas Gross. Maybe the ill chosen and confusing name "Andreas Gross" (which wrongfully suggests this is a solo project) or lack of decent promotion (not exactly the greatest promo pictures, nor the best chosen website title for example) have contributed to the fact that this band still lives in obscurity.
Andreas Gross has already been active since the early 90s releasing an impressive number of productions
The group creates such beautiful music, that it certainly deserves more recognition.

Personally I find it hard to categorize this band. Andreas Gross create complex, compelling, weird, wonderful, mysterious, melancholic, dark, dreamy sounds with influences of darkwave, triphop, ambient,  dream pop, heavenly voices, mittelalter, indie pop,  gothic and shoegaze.

The band Andreas Gross consists of Andreas Gross (voice, piano, vocoder, synths, sampling, production), Christian Bohr (electric guitar, electric bass),  Swenja Schneider (voice), Tabitha Anders (voice, acoustic guitar, drums) and  Thomas Stumpf (electric guitar).

Andreas Gross could definitely appeal to fans of Dead Can Dance, Delirium, The Cranes, Cocteau Twins, Lycia, Portishead, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Hooverphonic, Björk, The Gathering, Faun, Omnia, Chelsea Wolfe,The Cure and Massive Attack
