Cosmonauts: psychedelic Britpop from another continent

Cosmonauts is a  four-piece garage-trance outfit from Orange County, California. 

The music they make could therefore be described as Californian psychedelic rock. 

However I also hear a lot of Britpop and Manchester scene influences in their music. 

Does the genre American Britpop already exist? 

Does this music really have to have a name? 

Just listen and enjoy. 

And you may come to the conclusion that Cosmonauts aren't bad at all.
