Alestorm - Drink, Scottish pirates love drinking beer and rum

Alestorm have just released a video for the song "Drink". Unsurprisingly the song is about pirates who will steal and drink your beer and rum.

What else can you expect from a band who calls itself Alestorm and describes its music as"True Scottish Pirate Metal" or even "Bacon Powered Pirate Core"

Alestorm sure knows how to make a catchy drinking song, that would be ideal for a Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack.

VIIKATE - Kuollut kuin hengetön (Killed by Death)

Viikate (in English, Scythe) is a Finnish rock band from Kouvola, formed in 1996. The band is known for its melancholic lyrics, drawing inspiration from Finnish romance movies of the 1950s and Finnish singers of the era, including Reino Helismaa. Their style has been variously described as "Helismaa-metal," "wire metal," and "death schlagers."

SEPULTURA - Da Lama Ao Caos. Preparing for the FIFA Worldcup with a slice of pure Brazilian samba metal

Brazilian metal band Sepultura offers us a an excellent latin and tribal infused piece of mayhem with their song  Da Lama Ao Caos. 

If your national soccer team is playing the FIFA Worldc up, it can definitely do with a track like this to boost their morale. Especially if their intention is to beat Brazil on their homeground.

Sepultura is a phenomenon. For over twenty-five years, the band from Brazil has been delivering a brutal mix of metal, hardcore, thrash, punk and tribal that could hardly be more intense or more passionate. 

What had begun in Belo Horizonte in 1984 soon turned into a metal hurricane of threatening proportions and has taken on undreamt-of dimensions since the enlistment of American vocalist Derrick Green in 1998.

Doro Pesch (real name: Dorothea Pesch, born 3 June 1964, Düsseldorf) is a female vocalist, formerly of the German heavy metal band Warlock and one of the few female singers of the 1980s heavy metal scene.

After Warlock underwent many personnel changes, Pesch was the only remaining original member of the band. After changing her record label, she released the fifth album as Doro, as the former label owned the trademark on the Warlock name. 

Pesch now pursues a solo career.

Sabaton is a heavy metal band from Falun, Sweden formed in 1999. The band's main lyrical themes are based on war and historical battles. This is heard in the albums Primo Victoria, Attero Dominatus and Coat of Arms where all of the songs contain these motifs, except final tracks which are heavy metal tribute songs. Lyrical content drawn from World War I, World War II and other conflicts is prevalent and includes songs about battles and leaders on all sides of said conflicts.
